itrek Celebrates Chief Program Officer Orit Mizner, a Schusterman Fellow!

Congratulations to Orit Mizner, itrek’s Chief Program Officer, on being awarded a Schusterman Fellowship.

The 18-month Schusterman Fellowship provides Jewish leaders the opportunity to cultivate their unique leadership skills with a comprehensive curriculum, a dynamic cohort of peers, and the guidance of leadership development experts. The Schusterman Fellowship operates on the belief that resilient and self-aware leaders have the ability to make an effective and long-term impact. The Fellowship takes what they call an “inside-out” approach, which acknowledges that change comes from within.

Orit shared that she is energized by all elements of the fellowship, and believes this opportunity will allow her to invest the time and energy to take her skills, knowledge, and ideas to the next level. She is especially looking forward to meeting the other Fellows in her cohort. “It all starts and ends with people,” she says. “Every experience can be elevated by the people around you.”

What excites Orit most about the opportunity is the focus the Schusterman Fellowship places on the development of creative and innovative new ideas. With a background in innovation, Orit is looking to use this experience to bring the know-how and methods of entrepreneurship and the growth mindset world into the Jewish community. 

Data collected by the Schusterman Fellowship highlights its long-term impact on leaders, with 98% of Senior Fellows saying that they took what they learned in the Fellowship back to their organizations or other spheres of influence, and 96% think that the Fellowship network is a resource for their sustainability and longevity as leaders. What’s more, 92% of Senior Fellows reported that they now deal more effectively with leadership challenges.

As an Israeli-American, Orit is thrilled to work with a leading organization in the Jewish world.
