December 3, 2020

We’re thrilled to introduce itrek’s inaugural Network Board and the group of talented, passionate itrek Leaders who have agreed to help shape the itrek Network’s future through their participation.

As you know, our itrek community continues to grow rapidly. Since itrek’s inception, more than 1,100 itrek Leaders have now brought 19,000 future leaders on 458 treks. As a result of this exciting growth, we saw the need to launch an alumni board of recent leaders to serve parallel to itrek’s Advisory Board and Board of Directors. The vision for this leader-led Network Board is for members to be the driving force of the itrek Network, to strengthen the alumni community’s involvement in our programming, and to model what it means to be an itrek Leader beyond the trek.

Without further ado, we’re proud to present our first-ever itrek Network Board:

Ben-Ari Boukai, Georgetown University Policy, Treks 2018 & 2019

Carissa Cruse, Georgetown University Law, Treks 2018 & 2019

Benji Donitz, University of Michigan STEM, Trek 2019

Tal Eidelman, University of California, Berkeley Business, Trek 2018

Peter Fishkind, University of Pennsylvania Law, Treks 2016 & 2017

Gavriel Goidel, Harvard University Business, Trek 2019

Kevin Lieberman, University of Michigan STEM, Treks 2018, 2019 & 2020

Shenhav Ruttner, Columbia University Policy, Treks 2019 & 2020

Sarah Vandersluis, University of Toronto Business, Treks 2018 & 2019

Gur Yalon, Princeton University Policy, Treks 2019 & 2020

Asher Zlotnik, Columbia University Policy, Treks 2017 & 2018

Together, the 12 board members will work across committees to find new, innovative ways to keep alumni involved after their treks. Initiatives will focus on strengthening the Leader Network, sustaining trek impact on participants, and amplifying the voices of alumni who have the capacity to engage with Israel in more active ways. The board is eager to create opportunities for itrek Leaders to drive these initiatives, and to represent itrek Leaders’ diverse perspectives to the organization.

In the coming weeks, you’ll hear from the board members directly about their committee’s vision and how you can get involved. Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any questions in the meantime.
