About
I served in the IDF's International Law Department for over 12 years. In addition to providing legal advice to the IDF on the law of armed conflict, including during hostilities with Gaza and elsewhere, I was also worked on defending Israel internationally, including before the UN, foreign jurisdictions and in the international media. I was appointed to Israel's defense team at the International Court of Justice and have worked on Israel's cases at the International Criminal Court, UN commissions of inquiry and more. As Head of International Negotiations and Agreements in the IDF International Law Department, I was involved in drafting and negotiating agreements at the State level, including as the IDF's legal adviser for the maritime border agreement with Lebanon. Today I am at a large Israeli law firm, where I work both on international M&A and international law, including advising the State on international proceedings and Israeli companies facing BDS and other diplomatic/legal challenges internationally. I lecture regularly to visiting groups in Israel (law and policy groups – including itrek groups when I was in the IDF!), have been on campus tours in the US and Australia, and interview regularly in the media/podcasts.
