About
Mahmoud Muna was born in Jerusalem to a Palestinian family, he attended school in Jerusalem's Shu'fat refugee camps were his
dad taught three consecutive generations. Before finishing his studies at Al-Quds University in Jerusalem, he was forced to relocated to the UK where he finished his first and second degree in London. He is a computer science graduate, trained
communicator, and currently known as the bookseller of Jerusalem, he works in his family bookshop, organizing cultural
events around literature and art. Mahmoud is a regular contributor to the media of current social and political affairs, his interest lay somewhere between culture and identity, behaviours and language, when Mahmoud is not reading, he is writing for local and international cultural magazines and newspapers.
In 2024, Mahmoud edited a highly-received book about social and cultural life in Gaza Strip through the voice of Palestinians from the strip.
