Carlos E. Chacon Cupello focuses on the intersection of policy and entrepreneurship. He is a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Small Business Administration. He grew up in Venezuela, where he co-founded Kratos, an educational business that served over 650 students with soft-skills education in four countries. He was also a teacher and worked in the Venezuelan Congress as a Legal Advisor for the largest opposition political party. In the United States, he helped establish the Student-Run Business Program at Marquette University. He then served at MORTAR, an organization that enables historically marginalized entrepreneurs to access the resources needed to start and run successful businesses. After moving to Washington, D.C., he worked at the World Bank’s Ethics and Business Conduct Department and Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Office of Strategic Partnerships.
