Who We Are
itrek’s Graduate Israel Treks introduce Israel to tomorrow’s leaders from top business, law, and policy programs through multi-perspective, peer-led Israel Treks, fostering critical insight, meaningful dialogue, and lasting connections through the itrek Network
itrek empowers graduate students at leading business, law, and policy schools to bring their peers to Israel on immersive, week-long Israel Treks they design and lead themselves. Since our founding, itrek has supported more than 670 graduate delegations to Israel. Behind each one is a Leader who took the initiative to create a meaningful, multi-perspective experience for their classmates.
Leading an itrek is a hands-on leadership opportunity. Leaders design a program tailored to their peers’ academic and professional interests, lead recruitment and outreach, and prepare participants for the experience ahead. On the ground, they partner with expert educators to deliver a Trek that is thoughtful, balanced, and impactful.
itrek provides the educational and operational infrastructure to make this possible. Leaders participate in a fully sponsored Leadership Weekend, gain access to ongoing development opportunities, meet regularly with a dedicated Program Manager, receive funding, and gain access to an extensive network of speakers and partners. And once their Israel Trek experience ends, they join a global network of alumni Leaders across industries.

Business Israel Treks
Business Treks offer MBA students a firsthand look at Israel’s innovative economy.
Leaders design programs that combine meaningful access to founders, investors, and industry leaders with the cultural experiences that define the business school trek tradition. Participants engage directly with the people building companies and shaping one of the world’s most dynamic startup ecosystems.
Beyond business, these experiences provide important context. Israel’s role in global markets is closely tied to broader geopolitical dynamics, giving participants a deeper understanding of how business, policy, and current events intersect.
Law Israel Treks
Law Treks introduce JD, JSD, and LLM students to the legal systems, institutions, and debates shaping the region.
Participants meet with jurists, scholars, advocates, and practitioners across a wide spectrum of perspectives, including Israeli and Palestinian voices from both governmental and civil society contexts. Through these conversations, students gain insight into how law functions within a complex and often contested environment.
The experience offers a deeper understanding of legal frameworks, competing narratives, and the real-world application of law in a region frequently at the center of global attention.
Policy Israel Treks
Policy Treks give MPP and MPA students the opportunity to move beyond headlines and engage directly with the people shaping policy on the ground.
Leaders build itineraries that expose participants to a wide range of perspectives, including current and former officials, diplomats, security experts, journalists, and community leaders across Israeli and Palestinian society.
Participants leave with a more nuanced understanding of the region’s key issues, informed by firsthand conversations and lived realities. For many, the experience provides lasting insight into challenges they may encounter throughout their careers.
Faculty-led Business Israel Treks
itrek partners with faculty at leading institutions to support for-credit academic travel to Israel.
Working within an existing course framework, itrek collaborates with faculty to design a customized in-country experience aligned with academic objectives. Support includes itinerary development, access to a vetted network of top speakers and organizations, pre- and post-Israel-Trek engagement, and flexible funding, including dedicated security resources.
Faculty Treks combine academic rigor with immersive, on-the-ground learning, extending the classroom into real-world context.
